Do you see that pic? It's a pic of Matt Holmes, MBA with his Filipino staff. This includes his sales manager, SEO manager and one of Handshaking's sales reps. One of the big challenges Matt faces is that when he visits his staff in the Philippines is that he can't make calls to the US until 10;00PM at night! That is what time it is when it's finally 8am in Handshaking's Headquarters in Denver, Colorado. Whew, you better stay up late if you're in the Philippines and making calls, or you better pay your staff well to work what we know in the US as 'graveyard shift.' Additionally are the cultural differences. The gal to the left is the SEO Manager, Venus, and where she comes from it's better to not mention any problems or mistakes. You see, in the Philippines, each young student may grow up with pressure around them to NEVER make mistakes, because mistakes are something used to bond closer with your friends at the other person's expense. In the US mistakes are something we use to bond with one another as a group, and we examine what we can learn from that mistake. Just look at Elon Musk's brother Kimbal Musk talking about the social medias hehe: Fast-forward to about Mistakes are an important conversation for startups who are outsourcing, because not all cultures are as friendly with mistakes as we assume they might be in the US.
Are you ready to get serious about outsourcing? Let's get your attorney, accountant, and couple of full-time VAs on board full-time for your company for the same cost your 1-3 US employees are costing you. Learn more about Matt's method at Delegatin.com |
