Please tell us more about you do? Started my career as an Entrepreneur at the age of 15. Like other Entrepreneurs, I faced the ups and downs in navigating tricky decisions. It was a real roller coaster ride to test and learn everything on my own, but today it helps me to understand what's working and what's not really working. After a decade, I thought people working on Wall Street running financial markets looked awesome, which inspired me to join a multinational specialized in the banking and financial services sector. I’ve built a solid track record and expanded the business coverage from Malaysia/Singapore /Hong Kong to Europe. Then I decided to join Government Agency specialized in Digital Economy. I was given a very exciting job to manage High Impact Investments for the country. I am currently the Digital Economy Specialist, Business and Industry Advisor in Malaysia. We focus on creating sustainable environment for Digital Business Ecosystem which includes Entrepreneur, Investor, Corporate, Venture Builder and Mentor’s Network. How long have you been in Entrepreneurship Space? More than a decade. How do you balance work with your personal life? I truly enjoy what I do: helping businesses to accelerate growth. I have a wonderful privilege to meet inspiring people from different backgrounds (entrepreneur, investor, corporate, mentor) sharing their different perspective. It is very interesting especially during heart to heart discussion to understand real issue behind a situation. It helps me to learn a lot. Some of them became my close friends. As long we start with good intention and meaningful purpose, we will find what we do as a real joy. That itself became personal. Can you please tell us more about how you help startups? How does it work? Can anyone work with you? I focus on advisory and opening doors for startups to meet investors, corporates or anyone within my network who would be able to assist them. I am truly grateful to receive wonderful supports from ecosystem partners to help. That itself makes my job easier. What is the most challenging part about what you do? How do you overcome that challenge? To stay relevant and understand upcoming trends. This is important especially in advisory to help startups to future proof itself. They can be very relevant today, but tomorrow is really unknown. Collaboration and stay curious - keep ourselves in the know of what’s happening is a basic needs to stay relevant.
