Please tell us more about your role and / or your startup. I'm founder/CEO of Treehouse Stickers. I'm also the full stack developer of Avidiva, our order tracking software. How long have you been in that role?
I've been the tip of the spear since we started the company in 2012 as a digital print provider. We've mastered the art, and now we're moving to a more scalable decentralized printing solution, so we can do what we're best at, while helping out thousands of small businesses like ourselves. How do you balance a startup with your personal life? We started the company out of our living room, and still operate from a residential address. By breaking the mold on 20th century business models, we operate the business like millennials: asynchronously, heavily automated, and with a focus on customer experience and attention to detail. You play an integral role in your startup. Can you please tell us more about what the startup does? How does it work? Can anyone join? We're a printing company at heart, but these days we act more like a software company, with a few twists. We take orders for custom printed stickers, expertly design and prepare print files, then deliver those files to our network of contract printers to print on a commission basis. Anyone with a qualifying solvent vinyl printer and existing print business is invited to join the Sticker Guild. What is the most challenging part about what you do? How do you overcome that challenge? As we pivot our business model, we are continuously modifying our code, deploying new versions, and improving both front and back end user experience with 0% data loss and 99.9% uptime. Every day we are up to the challenge, and overcoming real obstacles, and not just running on a hamster wheel, is what makes the experience enjoyable.
